Mitra Couture History & Overview

Mitra Al Abdulla began her journey into bridal wear in 2012, with the dream of creating a concept boutique that gave brides an experience that is as unique as it is beautiful.

From the moment a bride enters Mitra Couture to the moment she walks into her wedding, every detail is taken into consideration to ensure the bride a once in a lifetime event.

Mitra made her bridal wear debut in October 2013, with her first collection inspired by her mother, who not only supported her daughter's dream but ensured the highest quality materials and techniques were being used.

In Autumn 2014, Mitra's full vision came to light when she moved her Head Quarters to a prominent flagship location that marked an important moment in the history of Mitra Couture, as well as providing a heightened experience for brides-to-be and it also enabled Mitra to restructure her team.

Overseeing the selection of fabric to working with a committee of designers and keeping the production in house, Mitra's extensive knowledge and entrepreneurship have ensured Mitra Couture as Kuwait's principle Bridal House.

The quality management systems Mitra created earned the bridal house several international certificates in recognition of the standards for quality reassurance for manufacturing which includes the cutting, stitching and production all of which are to international standards.

Company Dynamics

Each collection is designed by a committee of designers who work in teams to allow for maximum expertise and to maintain a timeless finish.The highest quality materials internationally available are hand selected. Only the finest fabrics are used to produce the bridal gowns. Natural feathers, Swarovski crystals and handmade embellishments are carefully selected to compliment both the quality and design of each gown.

After an initial sitting, Mitra continues working closely with each bride from the fittings to the jewellery selection and dressing the bride on her wedding day.Mitra maintains a close relationship to all her brides, even celebrating their anniversaries with a small token that reflects her passion for bridal wear and romance.

Collection Overview

Since launching, Mitra Couture has released 2 collections each year using fabrics such as dentelle, tulle and silk. Soft and creamy, the hand appliqué detail of the French and Italian embroidery and the French dentelle used by Mitra Couture in many gowns which creates breath taking silhouettes of the female form. For designs with wide skirts, layers of delicate tulle and elegant chiffon create a regal finish.

Each gown is tailored using the finest materials from the inner body to the outside shell. Underneath the luxurious details is a soft lining created from pure French silk. Regular and stretch materials are used to allow the dress to perfectly compliment the counters of the bride's natural figure.

Only the latest collection of genuine Swarovski Crystals are embellished into intricate designs. Onsite tailors use looms to add handmade organza flowers, brought in from Brazil, Germany and Spain, along with precious stones and hand beading. Each collection has five primary styles featuring the Mitra Couture signature design.
